Why We Changed Our Name
"Nemlys" was a name we picked early, and fast: back when we needed a name to launch with more than we needed the right one.
It did the job. But it never really told anyone what the app is about. It doesn't mean anything in any language, it's not always easy to say out loud, and if you've ever tried to recommend the app to a partner or a friend, you've probably had to spell it.
As we're now used by over 150,000 couples across 100+ countries, we wanted a name that says what we do the moment you read it: no explaining required, wherever you're reading it from.

We didn't want to make this decision alone in a room, so we didn't.
We shortlisted a few names internally, each capturing something a little different about what we've built. Then we put it to a vote and asked the people the app is actually for: you.
Hundreds of votes came in. Everlove won clearly, with the highest average rating of any name on the list.
So this isn't a rebrand a marketing team dreamed up. It's the name our own community picked.

Everlove is easier to say, easier to spell, and easier to explain to the partner you're trying to convince to download "a couples app." It also just sounds warmer, less like a piece of software, more like something you'd actually want on your home screen together. It travels better across languages, too: you don't need to be an English speaker to understand what "ever" and "love" mean side by side.
Mostly, it just fits. The app was always about showing up for each other, again and again. Now the name says so.
